Ewok Village-Camp Jewell CT.jpg
"Ewok" Treehouses at Camp Jewell, CT1238 viewsI designed these in 1986 to give boys something special, and to take advantage of a hilly, rocky site. Their are 4 cabins, connected in pairs by bridges and a gazebo. The showerhouse for this village? It's called "Endor." -- Gary Forster

Cars Own the Camp1200 viewsCurrently, staff (in this case) and guests can drive and park nearly anywhere, even when campers are walking between activities. There's little or no differentiation between a "road" and a "trail" and a space to park.

Barry County YMCA's Camp Algonguin, MI636 viewsYou don't need a lot of money to get a very functional design. Pick simple, yet large windows. Simple lights, save some money for a nice fireplace. Now don't forget to put back some of the cool old plaques and graces and awards that made your OLD dining hall so special to kids, alumni, and parents.

Camp Jewell YMCA (CT) "Sr Lodge" hanging bunks612 views"WOW!" is what campers say. This 30-bed dorm (there are two of them) were built originally for teens and parent-child groups back in 1967. Replacing the original army bunks with these built-ins turned it back into one of the most popular buildings with groups and teens.
